Waheguru JI Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

 

We are a small Gurdwara with very limited resources. We started this gurdwara after the original Gurdwara was closed for about six months. We felt that its a moral responsibility of every sikh that Guru Nanak's House should not closed down. Hence we took it on ourselves to start the Gurdwara again.

Simran House Incorporated Inc 9887606 (incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984) was registered and with the help and well wishes of sangat the doors of the GuruGhar were opened again. Subsequently the property 23 Lincoln Street MINTO was bought in the name of the association after securing bank loan and other loans from sangat.

The Gurdwara has now been running since 2007 and we have been promoting the basics of Sikh faith. Our focus has been on the religion and how we can embrace our paratan maryada while living in a multi-cultural society and at the same time contributing to the society.
